  • Enermax MAXREVO Power Supply Series

Enermax is taking another step in the 80 Plus GOLD certified power supply category. Introducing the MAXREVO Series, Enermax's new top of the line high wattage power supplies. Three MAXREVO series power supplies have been announced - 1200W, 1350W and 1500W.

    Details

The Enermax MAXREVO power supplies use Enermax's best technologies such as their copper bridge transmission array, full-zone magnetic quadrant transformer design, extreme density transformer design, a twister bearing fan and of course a fully modular cable system.

The Enermax MAXREVO 1200W features six +12v rails, each capable of outputting 30A. Combined +12v power is 1200W, or 100A which is 100% of the power supply's rated power. On top of this, peak power is rated at 1440W.

Next in line is the Enermax MAXREVO 1350W which has shown excellent results at HardOCP.com. It also has six 30A +12v rails, but combined +12v power is now 1344W or 112A. Peak power is a whopping 1620W.

The highest wattage PSU in this series is the MAXREVO 1500W. Once again it has six +12v rails with a max output of 30A on each, and combined +12v power is 1500W or 125A, which is 100% of the power supply's rated wattage. Having a powerful +12v rail is beneficial as video cards, CPU cores, drives and fans all receive power from the +12v rail. The 1500W model is virtually unrivaled, besting Silverstone's competition in +12v power by 180W or 15A. Peak power on this 1500W PSU is rated at 1650W.

Now lets see some photos of the MAXREVO power supplies.

i really want to see this psu go through JG's torture rack!! id love to see if the ripple holds up to there claims. not that i dont trust enermax etc... but this looks like a pretty radical design change. i really dont like that the 24 pin is modular too. i can live with all the rest being modular but i really think the main power plug(24 pin) should be a hard-soldered item.

Yes, jonnyguru & HardOCP reviews with very good scores are a must for a quality PSU. I'm also wondering on why the hell do they make 24pin modular, like you ain't gonna need it?!? The only case this happens is when you have to use 2 power supplies on one rig.

And just like the Revolution85+ 1250W, the MAXREVO 1500W will not be sold in the US, probably because it can't pass UL testing. Oh well, the MAXREVO 1350W has more +12v current than the Silverstone Strider 1500W.

A review for the MAXREVO 1350W has been posted on JonnyGURU.com.

Voltage regulation is borderline, but in spec at all times. Looks like Enermax really strained their 1200W-1250W platforms to make this 1350W unit.
