Many months ago we saw NVIDIA's GPU roadmap which showed their future video cards, Kepler and Maxwell. The former was to be released in 2011 while the latter was planned for a 2013 release. However, due to poor yields with the 28nm fabrication process, it looks like Kepler will not be arriving this year.
Details
Rumor site Fudzilla and its sources suggest that the current state of the 28nm fabrication process is the reason for delay. They believe it is possible for a very late 2011 release but highly unlikely that it will happen, therefore Kepler is to be expected in Q1 2012. Some rumors even suggest that AMD is affected by this issue so even their 28nm video cards shouldn't be massively available in 2012. We will provide updates on this matter in the future so keep in touch.
