  • ASUS Releases ROG Vulcan ANC Pro Gaming Headset

ASUS has just released the latest edition to their ROG headset lineup--the ROG Vulcan ANC. This is the world’s first active-noise-cancelling professional gaming headset designed to immerse users into games and prevent the annoying, detracting sounds reality produces. Based on the ideas of competitive pro gamers to remain focused during professional competitions, ASUS's ROG team produced the Vulcan ANC. With both sound quality and comfort in mind,t he Vulcan ANC features 85% active noise cancellation to filter out sounds like low frequency computer fan noise and 30dB passive noise cancellation to reduce a wide range of ambient noises, including background voices our music.

The lightweight design of 320g is lighter than other comparable models of the same size, with other headsets weighing around 350g. The ear and head cushions are constructed out of soft memory foam encased in breathable Japanese-made protein leather ensures prolonged comfort during long gaming sessions. It is also portable, with a foldable design that easily fits into a durable touring case to take between competitions or LAN parties.

The Vulcan ANC is built with enlarged 40mm headphone drivers for crisp, clear audio and is equipped with a noise-filtering microphone.

Probably because it's easy to trick people to buy it, you just put "gaming" somewhere on the box and list a couple of crappy stuff that doesn't affect performance at all!

Noise Cancelling and Professional competition shouldn't be in the same sentence. Its one or the otherwhen your in a lan, you want to hear the people around you. Having about 30dB muted that's a lot. The 40mm drivers are nice. Means there stereo headset. Without other specs i can't guess the quality on these. However knowing asus you know they will sound pretty good.Asus needs to work on design that clipon mic looks incredibly cheap.

IMO they should have given you a choice of where the muting should begin, otherwise I agree.
