It's no surprise that AMD has no officially announced their next generation GPU lineup will be dubbed the Radeon HD 7000 series. With a smaller fabrication process and improved resources and technology, we expect to see nice improvements in performance compared to current generation AMD video cards.

AMD's slideshow at GlobalFoundries confirms that their next generation cards will be named the Radeon HD 7000 series. They specifically mentioned Trinity - their next generation mobile GPU lineup.
Trinity will replace the current Llano A-Series APUs in 2012 and offer up to a 50% performance increase. They will utilize the 32nm process. The desktop 7000 series codenamed Southern Islands will be made on the 28nm process. Specifications as well as an exact release date and price are unknown so keep in touch for more updates.
