According to MSI, the XPower II is equipped with what they call Military Class III components. You'll notice also the passive ammo clip looking heatsink located over the southbridge which made us perform a mental facepalm as it seems to be inspired by Gigabyte's GI lineup.
Spec-wise this board does not disappoint. This board features onboard voltage check points while the rear IO features eight USB 3.0 ports, one FireWire connector, multi-BIOS, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio backed by Creative's X-Fi MB2 software suite, the OC Genie one-button overclocking function, a debug LED, as well as Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons.
Internally the XPower II has dual 8-pin EPS connectors delivering plenty of power to the processor, Dr.MOS II PWM, eight DDR3 memory slots, no less than ten SATA ports (s6x SATA 6.0 Gbps, 4x 3.0 Gbps), and seven PCI-Express x16 slots enabling SLI or CrossFireX multi-GPU setups.
Still no word on pricing at this time.
