  • New Details on NVIDIA Kepler

New details from a Japanese website called 4Gamer show a new NVIDIA roadmap, detailing the nomenclature and release dates of NVIDIA's upcoming 28nm DX11.1 GPUs.

Judging by this roadmap, the first Kepler GPUs dubbed GK107 will appear sometime toward the end of Q1 2012 or beginning of Q2 2012. This will be a low end chipset using the PCI-E 2.0 interface and a 128-bit GDDR5 memory bus. GK106 will follow during Q2 2012, featuring PCI-E 3.0 support and 256-bit bus. GK104 will arrive in the middle of 2012 with PCI-E 3.0 support and a 384-bit bus, and GK110, presumably a revision, will show up in Q3 2012 as a dual GPU (GK104) card. GK112 however shows up in early 2013 with PCI-E 3.0 support and a whopping 512-bit memory interface.

This is all we have for today and we'll keep you posted on further developments. Stay tuned!

That GK112 definitely peeks my interest. Too bad it won't be out for a bit. At least it will give me time to save.
