  • EVGA Releases EPower Board for Extreme Overclocking

EVGA has just released a new piece of equipment called the EVGA EPower Board. This is basically a PCB stuffed with VRM which you pair with either a motherboard or graphics card. This board isn't for everyone however, as some soldering skills will be required. The purpose of this card is generally to supply more power or current needed by extreme overclockers.

This device features a 10 phase output and a 3 phase secondary output. Also onboard are three 6-pin PCIE connectors and hookups for your EVBot. You may also want to keep in mind that using this on any motherboard (including your own EVGA board) will void it's warranty.

This item is up for grabs for $99.99.

The EVGA EPower board is designed to operate with two voltage outputs:
VCORE output - Voltage adjustment range of 800mV to 2000mV. Current source up to 400A.
VDIMM output - Voltage adjustment range of 1000mV to 5000mV. Current source up to 80A.

    Recommended Toolkit

    • AWG12 or AWG10 Copper Wire with Insulation
    • 60W or 80W Soldering Iron
    • Digital Multimeter for Resistance and Voltage Checks
    • EVGA EVBot with X58 Firmware
    • 80 or 120mm +12V DC FAN with 3-pin header for VRM Cooling
    • Flux and Solder for Wire Joints
