Aimpad - PC Gaming Analog Keyboard

Looks like pressure-sensitive mechanical keyboard technology, which is what I've always been asking for.

The only thing I'm not a fan of so far is that it's in a custom gamepad form factor, like those Logitech things, opposed to a full sized keyboard.

Why would anyone ever use like...1/3 of a keyboard..? You need the whole thing.

Yeah it's weird, Logitech has sold gamepads in that form factor for a long time. But a full sized keyboard or tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with these pressure-sensitive switches... yes!

I just dont get why anyone would buy something like this, like I realize it's for gaming but you don't only use x amount of keys for every game. This can't possibly facilitate functionality in all games. Plus that looks so unnatural and not something I'd enjoy typing on.

It's not meant for typing, just gaming. They just need to make a keyboard with those switches, though the developer seems to think it will happen.

Well you do type in some games..like in an MP game where you need to chat.

Even in games like ArmA 3, or DAO...You would need many more keys that that. Plus that design is awful, I'll take full keyboard any day, just for comfort.

Might be useful for laptop gamers on the go. My hands get cramped after a while when gaming on one since they require almost no pressure to depress. Still... some pretty interesting technology.

Actually, that's exactly what you do. If you don't use "X" amount of keys then you use an infinite amount of keys. Which you don't have.

What I meant by x is that you don't use the same amount of keys for every game. Like I use more keys in ArmA 3 than I do in State of Decay. I'm just saying, such a tiny form can't support every game out there. Minus that, I dont know why anyone would want to use such a tiny keyboard for gaming then have to switch it out for a normal one when they're done gaming.

Perhaps more aimed at one game, gamers who will have one way for the games they play, e.g. LAN competitions for CSS etc etc?

LAN CSS PLAYER HERE (CSS isn't played anymore, CSGO is fyi :-)). We'd rather just use mechanical keyboards/compact high quality membrane keyboards. :^)
